DJ, promoter, and producer, Nathan Sanchez hails from the San Francisco Bay Area. Nathan was exposed to the thriving underground rave scene that was emerging in the city in the 1990s. He spent every available night making the trek to San Francisco, quickly developing a passion for house music. Being completely immersed in the electronic music culture, his commitment to house music began and started him on a 20-year+ journey to where he is now.
Inspired by some of his favorites - Kruder and Dorfmeister, Wicked Crew, Carlos SF, Dubtribe, Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, François K, among many others; Nathan loves mixing old club favorites on vinyl and the newest digital tracks.
An active member of his local community, Nathan is no stranger to the challenges of a small-town music scene. Though he loves playing in nightclubs, bars and special events, his love for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing tunes. When not performing, he spends his time in the studio creating his own music and expanding his extensive collection of vinyl records.
Having spent years playing alongside local hard-hitters and national acts alike, Nathan has had a lot of time to develop his sound. For him, it is about impeccable track selection.… playing those tracks that get you tapping your feet and nodding your head without you realizing it, regardless of genre, tempo, style, or release date. House music is dance music.
Over the progression of his career, Nathan has incorporated his love for all music genres into his DJing style. He loved playing everything from downtempo to hip-hop to jazz.
Nathan is also co-owner of Space Banana, bringing his years of DJ experience and creative vision directly into the heart of Boise’s nightlife. Since relocating to Idaho, he’s remained dedicated to pushing the boundaries of sound—blending classic influences with innovative mixing and curation.
With its immersive atmosphere, forward-thinking programming, and rotating roster of top-tier DJs, Space Banana continues to establish itself as one of the most unique and exciting venues in the Northwest.
Nathan regularly travels nationwide to perform while helping shape Space Banana into a standout destination for Boise’s underground electronic music scene.

Under The Trees
Under the Trees is a registered nonprofit in Boise, Idaho dedicated to building community around underground electronic dance music, advancing land stewardship, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all. They throw underground electronic music pop-ups in epic spots.
